The nude is an artistic form that represents beauty and was historically born in Greece during the classical period. Beauty resumed several centuries later during the Renaissance thanks to the works of artists such as Botticelli, Michelangelo, Raphael and Leonardo da Vinci. The first modern nudes are definitely the Olympia of É. Manet (1863) and L'Origine du monde by G. Courbet (1866). The two innovative works have in common, obviously, the naked body, of woman, portrayed and ostentatious with absolute naturalistic truth. But in Manet's painting, what caused a scandal was not the presence of a nude, of which the academic paintings were full, but the fact that that nude represented a girl of the time and not a mythological character. Shopart offers a crowded collection of fine art prints with subjects of artistic nude and mythological figures such as the splendid Danae painted by Gustave Klimt. There are many posters of Hopper and print on canvas of the highest quality. Our mdf panels are used to embellish home and office walls as well as hotels and B & Bs.
