Baroque art
The Baroque Art was the dominant style at the turn of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. In painting this style is easily recognizable by the lack of idealization and classical perfection that distinguishes, instead, the works produced during the Renaissance. In this period there is a return from the artists towards the realism and the representation of nature. Nature is seen as a manifestation of creation by the divine, and for this it must be represented in all its aspects and as close to reality. Baroque paintings, therefore, are very complex and full of details.
